We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business Developer to drive our growth and expand our client base.

Job Overview

We are looking for a results-driven, dynamic professional with at least 5 years of experience in sales for software staff augmentation or nearshore outsourcing services. The ideal candidate will excel in building client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and closing deals.

As a Business Developer at Golabs, you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy, helping clients leverage our nearshore talent to meet their business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and engage potential clients using cold calling, networking, social media, and inbound marketing strategies. Schedule meetings to discuss their needs.
  2. Client Engagement & Discovery: Conduct discovery calls to understand client requirements, technical needs, and project timelines.
  3. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, positioning Golabs as a trusted partner for nearshore staffing solutions.
  4. Sales Cycle Management: Lead the entire sales process, from discovery to proposal submission, contract negotiation, and deal closure, ensuring seamless communication throughout.
  5. Client Retention & Follow-Up: Provide ongoing support and follow-ups to nurture relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
  6. Pipeline Management: Use CRM tools to manage your sales pipeline, accurately track progress, and report updates to the leadership team.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with recruitment and delivery teams to match client needs with the right technical talent.
  8. Market Insights: Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to refine your approach and align with market demands.

Qualifications

  1. Experience: Minimum 5 years in business development or sales, specializing in staff augmentation or nearshore outsourcing for software development.
  2. Proven Success: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets, particularly in securing staff augmentation contracts.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to lead presentations and negotiations effectively.
  4. Consultative Sales Approach: Strong ability to assess client needs and recommend tailored talent solutions.
  5. CRM Expertise: Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for pipeline management and reporting.
  6. Tech Knowledge: Solid understanding of software development processes and technologies.
  7. Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential. Proficiency in additional languages like Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience selling to mid-sized or enterprise-level clients.
  2. Familiarity with global talent markets and trends in software development.
  3. Experience working with distributed or remote teams.

IMPORTANT: This role will require travel to San José, Costa Rica once per month (expenses are covered).
