Your new position In this senior role, you will lead end-to-end collaborations with CROs and other external partners to enable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery of both early and late-stage clinical trials. The position spans RFI/RFP processes, vendor evaluation and selection, contracting, governance, vendor performance and issue escalation—always in adherence to ICH GCP and Zealand Pharma’s procedures. You will own key outsourcing processes and drive continuous improvement of strategy, SOPs, and tools, while ensuring a unified “one voice” approach with partners across Zealand Pharma. We Offer Exciting Responsibilities Lead RFI/RFP development, proposal evaluations, and bid defense planning with Clinical Operations and other subject matter experts Drive vendor selection documentation and partnership setup in full compliance with ICH GCP and internal procedures Negotiate and optimize clinical contracts (e.g., MSAs, Service Agreements, Work Orders, Change Orders) with Legal, QA, Finance, and trial team members Lead CRO management and vendor performance governance; act as first point of escalation to ensure timely issue resolution Coordinate stakeholder management across Clinical Operations to ensure a consistent Zealand approach to CRO/vendor interactions Develop and maintain the outsourcing strategy, relevant SOPs, and KPI/metrics tools; maintain contractual overviews and scout new vendors Your profile A structured, collaborative professional with a strong quality mindset and the ability to build trust-based partnerships. Thrives on cross-functional coordination, clear communication, effective stakeholder management, and proactive problem-solving. Comfortable balancing cost, timelines, and quality to deliver results through external partners and to drive continuous improvement of outsourcing practices. Extensive experience in clinical outsourcing/vendor management Knowledge of ICH GCP and clinical trial processes across early and late phases Demonstrated expertise in negotiating and administering clinical Master Service Agreements, work orders and change orders Hands-on experience with RFI/RFP development, proposal evaluation, vendor selection, and award documentation Proven ability in CRO management, governance facilitation, issue escalation, and partnership performance evaluation Your new team This role sits within Clinical Outsourcing under Clinical Operations, collaborating closely with Clinical Trial Managers and other trial team members, Clinical Project Managers, Quality Assurance, Legal, and Finance. The position partners with the Head of Clinical Outsourcing and cross-functional stakeholders to establish strong, long-term relationships and performance with CROs and other external partners.
