What the role is about As a Staff Software Developer, you’ll lead through technical excellence, tackling the hardest problems and delivering production‑quality solutions that scale our products and platform. What I’ll be doing Own complex technical challenges and architect scalable, performant solutions. Write clean, maintainable code in Go, Scala, or TypeScript (React/GraphQL). Diagnose and resolve production issues, delivering lasting fixes that restore customer trust. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to build features that add real value. Lead by example in code reviews, mentoring, and championing best practices. Proactively identify and implement technical improvements across codebase, systems, and workflows. Collaborate across teams to ensure consistency in implementation, performance, and user experience. Help unblock others through design reviews, reusable tools, libraries, or frameworks. What we’re looking for A hands‑on engineer who enjoys solving tough problems and building scalable systems. A strong technical contributor with a deep grasp of system design and debugging. A team player who thrives in collaboration and communicates ideas across functions. A mentor who shares insights and provides thoughtful feedback. A proactive self‑starter who leads projects from start to finish. Familiarity with logging, tracing, metrics, and alerting tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Datadog). Experience tackling performance bottlenecks or scalability challenges in high‑traffic systems. Experience building tooling or frameworks that boost developer velocity. Open‑source contributions or side projects that keep skills sharp.
