From concept to final production, you'll be responsible for shaping the look, feel, and voice of a fast-growing US-based fitness brand. This is not just about "making things look good"—it's about creating bold, energetic, and community-driven content that moves people to take action. The Creative Director will manage and grow our creative team, which currently includes a Colombian-based Graphic Designer and a U.S.-based Photographer/Videographer. You'll set the creative strategy, oversee brand execution, and bring SWEAT440 to life through our marketing campaigns—while also assisting in other areas of the business that touch the brand. This role reports directly to the VP of Marketing and works closely with the Chief Brand Officer. This role is based in Medellín, Colombia, with a hybrid work schedule and includes regular travel to the U.S (approximately quarterly). You must already hold a valid U.S. visa prior to hire. WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE UNIQUE This isn't your typical Creative Director gig. To thrive here, you'll need a genuine love of fitness. Maybe you were a student athlete, ran your first marathon, competed in CrossFit, or spent time coaching yoga, Pilates, or group exercise. Whatever your story is—you'll finally get to show it off on your résumé. We believe the best creative ideas come from people wholive and breathe the culture they're building. You’ll also need to embrace our entrepreneurial, fast-growth environment. Think of this as a player‑coach role: you’ll set the vision, lead the team, and think strategically—but also roll up your sleeves and execute alongside your team to make things happen. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the creative strategy across all brand touchpoints—digital, social, video, photography, campaigns, events, and in‑studio experiences. Manage and mentor the creative team (currently 1 Graphic Designer + 1 Photographer/Videographer). Develop and maintain a consistent brand identity that reflects SWEAT440’s energetic, community‑driven personality. Partner with the other marketing departments to bring campaigns to life—from concept ideation to production and final delivery. Translate complex marketing goals into compelling creative executions that resonate with our diverse audiences. Provide creative direction for photo/video shoots—preparing guidance for the photographer before the shoot, being available for real‑time questions during, and managing the quality of deliverables virtually—to ensure alignment with brand and campaign objectives. Stay ahead of design and marketing trends, bringing fresh ideas to keep SWEAT440 at the cutting edge of the fitness industry. Utilize AI tools and creative technology to enhance ideation, design, and production workflows. Maintain a strong curiosity for emerging AI innovations and continuously explore new ways to integrate them into the creative process. Travel to the U.S. for training, creative projects, and team collaboration as needed. REQUIREMENTS Proven experience (5+ years) in creative leadership roles, ideally within lifestyle, fitness, or consumer brands. A strong portfolio of work showcasing creative campaigns, brand development, and multi‑channel execution. Demonstrated ability to lead a creative team—inspiring, mentoring, and holding high standards. Strong skills in visual storytelling, brand building, and campaign execution. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or similar design and editing tools. Proficiency with emerging AI‑based creative software (e.g., VEO, Runway, Midjourney, Pika, or similar) is required. Experience collaborating across marketing, operations, and training. English proficiency at C1+ level (required). Must be based in Medellín, Colombia with the ability to work on a hybrid schedule. Must already hold a valid U.S. visa and be willing to travel regularly.
