Role Description: As a Carrier Sales Coordinator (OTR) at BWS Logistics, you are responsible for identifying, negotiating, and maintaining strong relationships with OTR trucking carriers to ensure timely, cost-effective freight movement. You will work directly with dispatch and sales teams to maximize profit margins, maintain high service standards, and support operational coverage during day, night, and weekend shifts. This position requires strong logistics experience, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment while maintaining data accuracy across systems such as Tai (TMS) and Parade. Key responsibilities Source and negotiate OTR carrier services through spot and transactional freight opportunities. Maintain profitability by achieving a minimum margin of 5% or $50 per load. Conduct at least 80 outbound sales calls per day to carriers for new and recurring loads. Identify and onboard new carriers; ensure each is used for 2+ shipments per month. Build and maintain long-term relationships with carrier partners. Log at least two relationship-building activities per carrier per month in Parade. Ensure three or more lane preferences are entered in Parade for each active carrier. Support track-and-trace operations and resolve load-related issues during assigned shifts, especially overnight and weekends. Verify Macropoint tracking compliance and perform regular check calls on active shipments. Coordinate with dispatch and sales to ensure real-time communication on load status and carrier availability. Assign yourself as Carrier Rep Owner for unassigned carriers in Tai. Record all carrier, load, and margin data accurately across Tai and Parade. Ensure timely responses and completion of assigned tasks and follow-ups. Track performance metrics such as margin growth, carrier reuse rate, and relationship activities. Participate in monthly audits via the Carrier Sales Margin Report – Incentive Program to verify eligibility and payout accuracy. Required Skills: Minimum 2 years of experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or logistics operations (OTR, Drayage, or LTL). Strong command of English (spoken and written). Proven ability to manage high call volumes (80+ calls daily) and negotiate effectively. Experience with TMS platforms (Tai, Turvo, or similar). Understanding of carrier vetting processes, freight margins, and sales fundamentals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a sales-oriented mindset. High attention to detail.
