Chevron is currently seeking applications for the Tax Analyst role.

This position requires a seasoned tax professional with over four years of expertise in the hydrocarbon industry, particularly within large taxpayer entities. The individual will oversee all tax compliance responsibilities, ensuring adherence to prevailing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate municipal and national tax reports and information disclosures.
  • Analyze and interpret modifications in tax legislation, assessing their implications on operational processes while collaborating with various business units to relay these changes (with a focus on the fuel sector).
  • Develop and uphold tax-related procedures.
  • Provide consultation support to business units and manage information requests for internal use.
  • Lead tax planning efforts, evaluate, and engage in business initiatives to assess tax implications.
  • Manage tax audits, respond to information inquiries, and assist in litigation coordination.
  • Aid in monthly and annual tax-related closing activities (including accrual calculations, effective tax rates, and deferred income tax).
  • Perform other duties as required by the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Public Accounting with a focus on Taxation
  • Familiarity with IFRS international standards
  • Proficient in English at an intermediate to advanced level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Experience with accounting software such as SAP and JDE
  • Competence in digitization and process automation techniques.

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered for this position.

International Considerations:

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
