Job Title: Tax Manager LATAM

At IDEMIA, we are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team in Latin America. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax regulations in every country where IDEMIA operates and providing tax advice to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide proactive tax advice to various departments, including conducting training sessions.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to resolve issues.
  • Participate in corporate restructuring projects, such as mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales.
  • Lead or participate in external tax audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Prepare Entity Files in collaboration with external advisors, ensuring consistency with Group Transfer Pricing policy.
  • Monitor statutory pre-tax profit margins throughout the year and propose transfer pricing adjustments at year-end.
  • Review and ensure timely filing of income tax returns, performing yearly book-to-tax reconciliations with the Finance team.
  • Support local Finance Managers with VAT compliance and ensure accurate VAT returns and reconciliations.
  • Track tax legislation changes, communicate updates, and drive implementation of necessary changes.
  • Prepare internal tax reports, covering statutory filings, tax audits, and exposures.
  • Analyze tax-related balance sheet items, such as VAT and income tax receivables.
  • Oversee all tax-related activities, including compliance, transfer pricing, reporting, and audits.
  • Act as a business partner, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate tax risks and manage complex decisions.
  • Manage a team and oversee tax operations for a large, complex scope.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in fiscal/legal tax compliance, including CIT, WHT, ITT, VAT, and Deferred Tax.
  • Transfer pricing experience and knowledge.
  • IRS experience in Colombia, including local regulations, formal procedures, and responding to audits.
  • Proficient in tax reporting to headquarters.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Familiarity with CDI (fiscal agreements between countries).
  • Experience supporting pre-sales and sales teams with tax-related matters.
  • Proven tax planning skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Specialization in taxes, Corporate Tax Law, or related.
