Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Overview:

As a Junior Accountant at Sagan, you will play a vital role in supporting our financial operations team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their accounting skills and gain hands-on experience in financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable to ensure smooth financial transactions and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate accounting records in QuickBooks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning processes, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for financial analysis and reporting, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Help prepare and present financial reports to management, effectively communicating financial data and trends.
  • Identify and document accounting discrepancies, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining financial integrity.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate financial data and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Assist in improving financial operations and processes, implementing efficient solutions to enhance productivity and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (pursuing a degree is acceptable).
  • 0-2 years of accounting experience, with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial data and trends to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
