Job Summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing new enterprise-wide applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop high-quality software applications that meet the needs of our customers.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure understanding of business priorities and requirements.
  3. Analyze and improve the efficiency of various systems and services.
  4. Develop and execute test scenarios/plans to ensure complete testing on all new and changed components.
  5. Troubleshoot problems identified by users and provide timely resolutions.
  6. Contribute to the creation of a culture of openness, honesty, and transparency within the team.
  7. Collaborate with the capability team to build an agile culture in teams.
  8. Coordinate with business stakeholders to understand and document business and functional requirements related to the end-user experience.
  9. Understand user needs based on business and functional requirements, user research, market analysis, customer feedback, and usability findings.
  10. Identify design problems and devise usable solutions.
  11. Build strong relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
  12. Participate in the design and implementation of user research and usability testing to better understand end-user needs.
  13. Ensure that third-party applications and products are customized to deliver a consistent end-user experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  2. 5+ years' experience with.NET development in a professional environment.
  3. Strong English speaking and writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical discipline.
  2. Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  3. Experience in systems development lifecycle.
  4. Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  5. Experience with server-side architectures and system design and development.
  6. Experience developing and deploying cloud-based solutions, Azure specific a plus.
  7. Experience with CI/CD, TFS, GIT or Azure DevOps a plus.
  8. Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas.
  9. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
  10. Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities.
  11. Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies.
  12. Ability to partner with multiple stakeholders and influence project decisions.
  13. Strong teamwork, customer service and organizational skills.
  14. Experience with C# / VB.NET required.
  15. Experience with WinForms, WebAPI, SOAP, ASP.NET.
  16. Experience with SQL Server 2016 or newer.
  17. Understanding of DB schemas and best practices when developing tables, stored procs, indices.
  18. Experience with JavaScript frameworks, React a plus.
