Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team in Colombia. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying complex software systems using Azure or AWS cloud, web technology stack, RESTful APIs, and database technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Mentor and Advocate for Best Practices: Ensure scalability, rapid changes, and easy management of software systems by mentoring and advocating for best practices in developing software systems.
  2. Troubleshoot Advanced Issues: Analyze user requirements, troubleshoot advanced issues, and implement efficient solutions to complex problems.
  3. Model a DevOps Culture: Ensure close collaboration between development and operations teams for efficient production and deployment of software, streamlining processes, and reducing system issues.
  4. Ensure High-Quality Software Engineering Practices: Adhere to high-quality software engineering practices in the areas of code quality, testing, and security.
  5. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Define, design, and implement new features with cross-functional teams.
  6. Conduct Code Reviews: Provide guidance and feedback to ensure a high standard of quality.
  7. Effective Communication: Communicate effectively and ask clarifying questions.
  8. Adhere to Agile Software Development Life Cycle: Adhere to agile software development life cycle best practices and governance.
Requirements
  1. Advanced English Level: Possess an advanced level of English proficiency.
  2. Experience in Agile Scrum Teams: Have experience working in agile scrum teams.
  3. Solid Understanding of Relational Database Methodologies: Possess a solid understanding and use of relational database methodologies and solutions.
  4. Advanced Understanding of Relational Databases: Have an advanced understanding of relational databases such as SQL Server.
  5. Experience in CI/CD Practices and Tools: Have experience in CI/CD practices and tools.
  6. Proficient in Azure DevOps: Be proficient in Azure DevOps.
  7. Proficient in Restful API Development and Maintenance: Be proficient in restful API development and maintenance.
  8. Strong Emphasis on Clean Code: Have a strong emphasis on writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code.
  9. Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Exceptional Interpersonal Communication Skills: Have exceptional interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal), attention to detail, extreme organization, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  11. Advanced Knowledge of Software Design Patterns: Possess advanced knowledge and experience using software design patterns.
  12. Code Refactoring Expert: Be a code refactoring expert.
Nice to Have
  1. Experience with Orchestration Platforms: Have experience with orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
