Overview

The Back-End Engineer plays a crucial role within the product development team, focusing on the implementation of various components of the system architecture while adhering to industry best practices in an agile development setting. Responsibilities include coding, unit testing, utilizing design patterns, mastering new technologies, and achieving expertise in the system. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for providing architectural guidance, maintaining documentation, and supporting overall solution design.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established software development methodologies and practices
  • Engage in scrum ceremonies, including Story Pointing, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
  • Assess time and effort by defining and planning development tasks
  • Develop and execute unit test cases
  • Produce code that aligns with the defined technology stack and standards
  • Facilitate and contribute to design sessions
  • May serve as a technical lead on select projects

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of dedicated experience with C# .Net
  • At least 2 years of experience with .Net Core
  • 3+ years of experience in ASP.Net Web API
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS
  • 2+ years of experience in micro-service architectures utilizing containers
  • 3+ years of relational database development and architecture experience with Microsoft SQL Server - SQL ANSI
  • 2+ years of experience with NoSQL database technologies
  • 2+ years of experience in real-time messaging architectures
  • Strong understanding of multi-threaded applications
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a Scrum development environment
  • Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming principles
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated capacity to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain adaptable during periods of change and respond to project adjustments promptly and positively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong capability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Proficient in influencing colleagues and communicating effectively across all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work efficiently under time constraints
  • Must possess authorization to work in the US for any employer

Ideal candidate will have the following additional experience

  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes via Azure DevOps
  • Experience in Financial Services utilizing charting technologies like TradingView with exchange market data providers
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: Blazer, Objective C, Kotlin, Microsoft Azure, message queue-based designs/implementations, Git, SSIS, ASP.Net Web API, Firebase
