Position Overview
The Backend Developer plays a crucial role within the product development team, responsible for executing components of the system architecture while adhering to industry best practices in an agile setting. This role encompasses coding, unit testing, applying design patterns, and continuously learning new technologies to become proficient in the system. The selected candidate will also be tasked with providing architectural guidance, documentation, and comprehensive solution design support.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to established software development methodologies and practices
- Engage in scrum ceremonies, including Story Pointing, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
- Assess time and effort by defining and planning development tasks
- Develop and execute unit test cases
- Write code that aligns with the defined technology stack and standards
- Facilitate and contribute to design sessions
- May serve as a technical lead on selected projects
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of dedicated experience with C# .Net
- 2+ years of experience with .Net Core
- 3+ years of experience in ASP.Net Web API
- 2+ years of experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS
- 2+ years of experience in microservices architecture utilizing containers
- 3+ years of relational database development and architecture experience with Microsoft SQL Server - SQL ANSI
- 2+ years of experience with NoSQL database technologies
- 2+ years of experience in real-time messaging architectures
- Strong understanding of multi-threaded applications
- 2+ years of professional experience in a Scrum development environment
- Proficient knowledge of object-oriented programming is essential
- Experience working both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment is vital
- Proven ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving skills
- Capacity to remain flexible during periods of change and respond to project adjustments promptly and positively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Skill in influencing colleagues and communicating effectively across all organizational levels
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work efficiently under time constraints
- Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD processes via Azure DevOps
- Background in Financial Services with knowledge of charting technologies like TradingView and exchange market data providers
- Familiarity with one or more of the following technologies: Blazer, Objective C, Kotlin, Microsoft Azure, message queue-based designs/implementations, Git, SSIS, ASP.Net Web API, Firebase
