About the Role

Mercy Corps is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost and Pricing Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Cost and Pricing team, you will play a critical role in supporting strategic program development efforts by leading or supporting the development of realistic and cost-competitive proposal budgets and cost applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or support the development of proposal budgets and cost volumes for complex donor-funded program opportunities, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with Mercy Corps' policy and applicable donor rules and regulations.
  • Provide cost and pricing guidance and assistance to proposal teams and consortium partners, facilitating the development of prime, sub-award, or subcontract budgets and associated budget narratives.
  • Collaborate with country teams and HQ proposal leads to ensure accurate and competitive costing of staff time, activities, office costs, and other direct costs.
  • Analyze new solicitations and provide guidance on cost and pricing requirements and potential compliance issues.
  • Develop and deliver training related to proposal budgeting for country teams or HQ staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in international development or a related field, with a strong understanding of proposal budgeting processes and donor regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience developing budget templates and cost and pricing tools.
  • Fluent spoken and written English required, with working-level French or Spanish a plus.
