Job Summary

The Global Wealth Engineering team at Scotiabank is seeking an experienced Talend Specialist to deliver comprehensive wealth and asset management solutions to our clients. As a key member of our team, you will help scale, enable, and drive development excellence in data integration and ETL functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data integration modules for ETL functions, collaborating with business stakeholders to obtain data requirements and perform data analysis.
  • Investigate new technologies and advances in ETL and Cloud, ensuring the team stays up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Work with cross-team product owners, developers, and test engineers to support QA processes and ensure seamless integration of data solutions.
  • Support the business with ongoing product enhancements and feature development for major releases, working in parallel with other teams.
  • Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders, and business partners, resolving conflicts and issues of medium complexity.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of data integration areas, adhering to Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.

Requirements

  • Language fluency in English (B1+) and Spanish, with 1-2 years of experience using Talend for ETL/Data Integration/Data Warehousing.
  • 1 or more years of experience working in a Linux environment, with job scheduling experience (TWS, Autosys, Control-m, etc.) and a preference for Autosys.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks assigned.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a standard office-based environment, with non-standard hours being a common occurrence.
