Purpose and Responsibilities:

The Senior Legal Associate will work as a proficient team member, reporting to the Chief Regional Counsel, and handling regular tasks related to commercial and corporate areas.

  1. Manage complex contracts and tasks within the Legal Department.
  2. Develop proficiency in assigned areas while taking responsibility for matters outside those areas, such as projects and collaborations.
  3. Handle specific projects or parts of key areas of work under the Legal department.
  4. Work independently or under minimal supervision on complex agreements, cases, projects, and administrative tasks requiring assistance from other departments.
  5. Mentor team members and associates.
  6. Monitor individual and Department initiatives, strategy, and overall responsibility, suggesting necessary steps for timely implementation.
  7. Demonstrate an understanding of processes within the Legal Department and assigned sectors, impacting overall responsibility and working relations with stakeholders.
  8. Demonstrate an understanding of processes, goals, and strategy of closely related stakeholders, assisting in planning and implementing actions within assigned sectors to meet stakeholder needs.
  9. Coordinate and/or perform assessments of standing processes and associated internal policies, guides.
  10. Communicate and act professionally when working with internal and external stakeholders.
  11. Contribute to operational day-to-day responsibilities within assigned sectors.
  12. Participate in team discussions for sector strategy and initiatives.
  13. Negotiate with internal and external parties to create trust-based relationships.
  14. Exposure to global operations and cross-departmental projects and workflows.
  15. Contribute to well-prepared onboarding and mentoring programs for team members.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  1. At least 5 years of experience in commercial law.
  2. Advanced English language skills.
  3. Portuguese knowledge is an asset.
  4. Candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged; however, experience in similar industries as Infobip is advantageous.
