Senior Business Development Manager

The Thermo Fisher Scientific LATAM team is seeking a highly skilled Key Account Manager to lead the clinical business in our Genetic Science Division. Based in Bogotá, this role will focus on driving sales figures and growth initiatives within the Central America Region.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and account management within Genetic Science, with expertise in molecular biology techniques (qPCR, CE). They will be responsible for developing the clinical market, implementing sales strategies, and tracking performance metrics. Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills are essential for success in this role.
Main Responsibilities:
• Craft, implement, and track sales plans, targets, and forecasts
• Drive clinical solutions through collaboration with marketing and global business units
• Partner with regional channels and direct sales teams to identify and develop potential leads
• Build pipeline of opportunities to support reaching annual objectives in the clinical segment
• Drive business expansion through collaboration with Support, Sales, and Market Development teams
• Identify and nurture Key Opinion Leaders
• Establish relationships with customers to promote penetration, retention, and dedication
• Generate, qualify, and close sales leads
• Provide Technical & Sales Training
• Prioritize projects and resources to achieve business objectives
• Identify competitor activities and develop tactical responses
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Engineering
• Proven experience in sales and account management within Genetic Science, handling molecular biology techniques (qPCR, CE)
• Min 3 years sales experience in life science
• Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills
• Excellent trade and presentation skills
• Ability to establish short- and long-term business objectives
• Proficient in English - written and spoken
• Travel availability: 50%
• Driver's license
• Salesforce and MS Office knowledge
Additional Benefits:
