Job DescriptionThe Senior Analyst QC role will support the implementation, documentation, assessing, and oversight on the activities contained in:
- Global Voice and Electronic Communications Policy
- GBM Communication Supervision Procedures
- Communications Supervision Content Standards
- Local procedures applicable to the Quality Check
This role will support Global Banking & Markets and International Banking. The Senior Analyst will cover for the same countries to which the area provides its services, the activity of Quality Control of the alerts worked by the Communications Surveillance program.
Key Responsibilities- Business Knowledge: Maintains expert knowledge of Bank processes, policies, procedures, applications, and products related to Global Communications Supervision Procedures and applies this knowledge in the review and analysis of Level 1 communication surveillance activities.
- Global Communications Supervision: Executes GBM Communication Supervision Procedures, reviews Alerts in the Quality Check process established to, among other things, identify improvement opportunities in the evaluation alerts made by the Communications Surveillance team. This includes:
- Reviewing Alerts and ensuring that the reviewers achieve and maintain the desired level of competency in accordance with GBM Communication Supervision Procedures and standard times.
- Providing continuous improvement opportunities to the reviewers based on observed quality trends.
- Bringing observed quality issues to managers and supervisors to mitigate risk and align concepts in accordance with processes and the Bank's risk appetite.
- Developing robust tools and strategies to effectively execute a quality check program.
- Assisting the Manager or Senior Manager in preparing reports of findings and recommendations for Communications Surveillance teams.
- Keeping track of QC reviews in the QC Tracker spreadsheet and appropriate tracking in the systems if necessary.
- Actively identifying process, technology, and systems improvement opportunities, and participating as appropriate in the implementation process.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and negotiating skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills (must be able to prepare documentation and interact effectively with other Bank departments).
- Good accountability and time-management skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Bank's regulations, policies, procedures, operations, and functions (preferred but not required).
- Working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of Global Banking & Markets business units and related business functions across Canadian & International Banking units including various delivery channels.
- Highly motivated; demonstrated ability to multi-task and deliver in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment.
- Strong proficiency of Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, or accounting.
- Bilingual (Spanish / English).
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality assurance and control. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
