Job Summary:
The Acquisition Management Unit of the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia seeks a highly skilled Contracts Management Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contracts management, procurement, and administration, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of contractual aspects of procurement projects, including establishing and maintaining work programmes and schedules for ongoing contracts and newly planned ones.
- Review procurement requests to ensure completeness and adequacy of goods, services, and related procurement and contract specifications.
- Ensure adherence to contractual agreements for material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules through periodic and ad hoc checks.
- Assist in market research to stay up-to-date with significant market developments, analyze statistical information, and identify new technologies, products, or services.
- Draft relevant audit responses and maintain contract-related electronic and hardcopy files and records.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in contracts management, procurement, or administration.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (both oral and written).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in project/programme management methodology.
- Certification in process improvement.
