About the Role:

The Director, Data Marketing Technology will lead the integration and strategic utilization of technology to drive insights into user behaviors and optimize our marketing efforts. This role is responsible for managing our marketing technology stack, ensuring robust data analytics capabilities, and interfacing with product, marketing, and engineering teams to support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Oversee the martech team, aligning initiatives with business goals and maintaining continuity in projects started by predecessors.
    • Lead pivotal projects such as the in-house Customer Data Platform (CDP) transition, Conviva analytics integration, and Google Analytics migration to GA4.
    • Manage the sunset of legacy systems like Segment Personas, ensuring smooth transition without service disruption.
  • Technology and Data Management:
    • Supervise technology implementations across various platforms including Segment, BigQuery, Braze, and Kochava, ensuring integration with our product ecosystem.
    • Handle data integrity and flow between systems, resolving data pipeline issues and overseeing the data model transitions needed for new technology integrations.
    • Maintain a proactive approach to privacy and data compliance, navigating complexities related to VPPA, COPPA, and targeted advertising consents.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Develop and refine instrumentation specifications to ensure high-quality data collection from client applications.
    • Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of data issues, coordinating with BI and QA teams to maintain data accuracy and functionality.
    • Champion the redesign of events and the optimization of client-side data utilization in marketing platforms like Braze.
  • Collaboration and Innovation:
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure alignment and efficiency in project executions.
    • Facilitate knowledge transfer from outgoing leadership and maintain documentation on ongoing projects and operational strategies.
    • Stay ahead of industry trends to implement innovative solutions that enhance our capabilities and competitive edge.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 7+ years of experience in marketing technology, digital marketing, and product management, preferably in a streaming or digital media environment.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record of managing complex martech implementations and data-driven projects.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Fluency in Spanish and English.
