The successful candidate will work remotely in Bogotá, with occasional in-person meetings once a month. As a Financial Accountant Specialist, you will provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and compile account information to prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries.
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information accurately and efficiently.
  • Recommend financial actions based on thorough analysis of accounting options.
  • SUMMARIZE CURRENT FINANCIAL STATUS by collecting relevant information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents and verifying their accuracy.
  • Maintain accounting controls to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and providing guidance when needed.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Secure financial information by implementing robust security measures and backup systems.
  • Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls and best practices.
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements in a timely manner.
  • Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by staying up-to-date with changes in legislation and advising management accordingly.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in a Finance Senior Associate role or similar position.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience with Oracle is highly desirable.
  • Availability to meet with other teams in person in Bogotá once a month.
