Workfully is launching an expansion of our operations in Bogotá to offer cutting-edge services to our clients. We are seeking a seasoned Cloud-Based Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team and drive the success of our cloud-based solutions. As the Cloud-Based Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based applications within our Solutions Center in Bogotá. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including our US-based colleagues and directly interact with our clients.

  • Drive your career through clearly defined expectations, mentorship from Principals and Vice Presidents, and opportunities for advancement.
  • Work with clients across various industries.
  • Diagnose complex technical and business problems and implement creative solutions that leverage Workfully's capabilities to meet our clients' needs.
  • Utilize knowledge of design principles and frameworks to perform and manage all aspects of projects throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including estimation, sprint planning, requirements gathering, architecting, developing, testing, issue/risk management, change control, and delivery.
  • Focus on master data management.
  • Manage requests to innovate and evolve a suite of applications, which may require re-architecting foundational elements.
  • Deliver presentations and facilitate meetings while adapting communication to varying audiences including high-level stakeholders.
  • Provide basic support, proactive monitoring, routine checks, data validation, and address security recommendations, including on-call requirements once a month.
  • Mentor junior colleagues by providing career development goals, meeting regularly, writing and delivering semi-annual reviews, and advocating for their career advancement.
  • Work within a hybrid model, sometimes at home and sometimes in person.
  • Actively engage in our culture of continuous learning, personal and professional development, and lead community service and social gathering events.

We Seek:

The successful candidate possesses the following critical qualifications:

  • Full-stack development experience, cloud technologies (AWS), serverless applications (Amazon Lambda), and Node.js.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with US-based stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is required for effective communication with US-based colleagues and customers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering innovative solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Experience across all phases of the SDLC and Agile software development practices.
  • Enthusiastic about coaching and mentoring others helping them develop their careers.
  • Ability to become a trusted advisor by building relationships with clients, colleagues, vendors, and other industry professionals.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or comparable experience.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. This figure is based on national averages for similar positions in the Bogotá area.
