Primary Responsibilities

The role involves overseeing the logistics framework, including maritime transport of bulk cargo, port operations at both the origin and destination, customs activities, and inland freight management within Colombia. The professional will ensure accountability for import operations to facilitate timely and quality delivery of agri-products to designated plants.

Key Deliverables

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3 to 4 years of experience in logistics and international trade.
  • Proficiency in English (Intermediate level).
  • Familiarity with agri-products logistics in Colombia and Peru.
  • Knowledge of the grain bulk carriers market for motor vessel contracts.
  • Proven ability to devise and implement effective logistics strategies.
  • Capacity to generate innovative ideas and logistics projects focused on cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Strong leadership, networking, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging effectively at various organizational levels.
  • Proficient in negotiation and problem-solving through creative and innovative approaches.
  • Computer proficiency, particularly in SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
  • Active involvement in developing strategies to enhance logistics processes through KPIs.
  • Supplier evaluation and feedback management.
  • Maintain productive relationships with key areas related to agri-products supply to ensure effective information flow and internal customer satisfaction.
