HR Generalist - Latin America Job Overview

Job Summary:

Gunvor Group seeks a highly skilled HR Generalist to oversee the day-to-day HR needs in Latin America. This role will be responsible for payroll, onboarding, offboarding, HRIS enhancements, benefits administration, and ensuring all compliance requirements are met.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Oversee the payroll process and retirement benefits administration for Latin America, including automating and optimizing the payroll process.
  • Employee Engagement and Support: Be the point of contact for regional employees, providing guidance and ensuring internal policies are followed.
  • Recruitment Operations: Assist with recruitment operations, including sourcing and screening candidates and coordinating interviews.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Conduct new hire orientations and administer the day-to-day needs of LatAm HR, including joiners, leavers, exits, and mandatory compensation requirements.
  • Workday Reporting and Administration: Assist the global HRIS team with ad-hoc Workday reporting needs and maintain employee record information in Workday.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years in a Human Resources role.
  • Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize tasks and show initiative.
  • Fluency in English (both written and oral) as daily work is in English.
  • Ability to work independently and adjust to rapidly changing environment.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Proactive, discrete, responsible, and punctual.
  • Correct, helpful, polite, and positive.
  • Ability to travel to the US required.
  • Previous administrative work and experience in Colombia and Peru.
  • Administrative experience in Brazil would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Colombian labor standards.
  • Vocational education minimum.
