We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at BruntWork. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a crucial role in managing daily financial activities across multiple sales channels. Your responsibilities will include performing daily reconciliations for multiple bank and credit card accounts, managing accounts payable and receivable efficiently, processing bi-weekly payroll for staff and owners, and preparing and filing quarterly HST returns and monthly PST remittances for British Columbia. You will also be responsible for integrating and reconciling Shopify data with QuickBooks Online, generating monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets, and providing strategic financial insights and advice on inventory tracking. Additionally, you will handle complex sales transactions involving multiple invoices, assist in creating and maintaining accurate cash flow statements, and optimize financial processes to support business growth. If you have 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in retail or e-commerce, and are proficient in QuickBooks Online and familiar with Shopify integration, we encourage you to apply. You should also have a strong understanding of Canadian tax requirements, including HST and PST, and experience with multi-channel retail businesses and complex transaction management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills are also essential for this role. As a remote worker, you will be comfortable with virtual collaboration tools and able to work 4 hours per day, 5 days a week (20 hours total).
