Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Web Developer to support our internal applications and client projects. As the sole developer on our internal team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure web applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs.
  • Build and manage integrations with third-party platforms, including Shopify, GoHighLevel, and HubSpot.
  • Develop and maintain MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
  • Create and manage custom admin areas within WordPress and other platforms.
  • Implement and maintain strong web security practices across all applications.
  • Work on enhancing and supporting existing applications, both for internal use and for client projects.
  • Collaborate with external development vendors to ensure seamless integration and project delivery.
  • Participate in DevOps tasks, including deployment and management on platforms like Heroku and Digital Ocean.
  • Develop and maintain workflows and automation processes.
Requirements:
  • Strong proficiency in backend development using PHP and MySQL.
  • Experience with APIs, web services, and integrations with third-party platforms.
  • Solid understanding of web security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with Shopify and WordPress development.
  • Ability to create and manage admin areas within web applications.
  • Familiarity with GoHighLevel and HubSpot is a plus.
  • Experience with deployment and management on Heroku, Digital Ocean, Siteground, WPengine, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while coordinating with external vendors.
  • Medium English proficiency
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, etc.).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Agency Tools:

Hubstaff, Workamajig, Zoom, Google Apps, and Slack.
