Quality Assurance Engineer

This role is centered around the Training and Development Manager, a product designed to assist institutions in managing course catalogs, registrations, and learner dashboards, ensuring a superior experience for students. We are in search of QA engineers who are passionate about enhancing the educational journey for schools and students within higher education. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from initial discovery to deployment. Anthology is looking for a proficient and experienced team member responsible for constructing, maintaining, and improving our automation framework; devising testing strategies; documenting test plans and cases; assessing subsystems and system components according to specified requirements; and guaranteeing product quality and coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulating test case strategies and developing test plans for both functional and technical requirements
  • Crafting and executing test cases to validate functionality, data integrity, security, and overall usability of the solution, encompassing all Use Case Scenarios
  • Preparing test data, reviewing, and modifying test cases as necessary
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of Agile Methodology and prioritizing tasks effectively
  • Actively participating in SCRUM meetings and contributing to team deliverables
  • Diagnosing and resolving reported issues while mapping them to the test repository
  • Ensuring quality deliverables meet acceptance criteria and the definition of Done
  • Maintaining quality test cases in accordance with standards and best practices, focusing on efficiency, reusability, and optimization

The Ideal Candidate:

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English at CEF B2 level or higher
  • 3-5 years of experience in Quality Automation
  • Familiarity with testing web-based software applications in a SaaS environment and on mobile platforms
  • Strong background in automation frameworks and automated testing tools
  • Experience with Source Code Management tools (preferably Git)
  • Any experience in analyzing code coverage of automated tests and conducting static code analysis
  • Basic understanding of programming or scripting languages such as Java or Python
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
