Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
  • Gather and analyze relevant data to address quality-related challenges.
  • Resolve issues by leveraging technical expertise and established precedents.
  • Plan and oversee projects by organizing activities into a logical sequence with achievable timelines.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments to cultivate a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Ensure product compliance with established standards through audits, inspections, and testing.
  • Engage with various functional departments, suppliers, and external experts to achieve Zimmer's quality objectives.

Impactful Contributions

Your contributions will include:
  • Developing procedures, specifications, and standards for Zimmer products and processes.
  • Leading quality engineering projects from inception through design, implementation, testing, documentation, and maintenance.
  • Creating and executing corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Collecting and evaluating data for product and gauge assessment.
  • Identifying essential personnel, gauges, procedures, and materials for new product completion.
  • Ensuring suppliers possess the necessary information and capabilities to deliver quality products.
  • Conducting risk assessments, nonconformance investigations, change management, and fostering strong partnerships with technical peers.
  • Collaborating with Development, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance teams to support production efforts.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Proficiency in English (C1 level).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field with certification as a quality engineer (e.g., CQE).
  • Preferred certification as a quality engineer (e.g., CQE) or Reliability Engineer Certification (CRE) from the American Society of Quality (ASQ).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience may be evaluated relative to requirements.
