Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategically-minded Accounting Manager to join our team at Traffic Tech. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing reliable and timely financial information and analysis to business leaders to guide them in their decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements and year-end files, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, accruals, and analysis for the Colombian entity.
  2. Monthly Variance Analysis: Support the preparation of detailed monthly variance analysis on expenses.
  3. Gross Profit Analysis: Perform gross profit analysis and resolve inconsistencies and issues in the financial reporting process.
  4. Financial Analyst Support: Provide guidance and support to financial analysts in the month-end closing process.
  5. General Ledger Analysis: Prepare general ledger analysis and reconciliations.
  6. Financial Report Review: Review detailed monthly financial reports.
  7. Financial Analysis: Perform various financial analysis requested by upper management.
  8. Invoice Processing: Assist with the processing and submission of invoices through the PO management system.
  9. VAT Compliance: Oversee VAT compliance and ensure adequate recording in the general ledger.
  10. Colombian Tax Compliance: Oversee Colombian Tax compliance on a regular basis and communicate tasks with the Director of Global Tax.
  11. Financial Systems: Oversee the financial systems to ensure that financial information is maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
  12. Financial Audits: Participate in financial and external audits.
  13. External Communication: Maintain relationships and communicate with external accountants, consultants, and auditors.
  14. Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist with annual forecasting and budgeting.
  15. Ad Hoc Requests: Answer ad hoc requests from management and support operations and sales staff for ad hoc requests.
Requirements
  1. Education: Degree in Accounting, Taxes, Business, or Finance; postgraduate studies in taxes will be a plus.
  2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a general accounting role, experience in logistics will be a plus.
  3. Business Acumen: Strong knowledge of business fundamentals and financial acumen.
  4. Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and strong skills to drive business initiatives end to end and deliver insights.
  5. Organizational Skills: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, evolving environment.
  6. Communication Skills: Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize work in a demanding environment.
  7. Judgment: Ability to exercise sound judgment in interpreting the Company's policies and objectives.
  8. Technical Skills: Solid proficiency in MS Office (specifically Microsoft Excel).
  9. Language Skills: English proficiency.
