Latin America Portfolio Lead

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Regional Director Latin America.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our strategy in the region, developing partnerships with key stakeholders, and managing our investment portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategy, operations, finance, and business development, with experience in private equity or venture capital being a plus.
They will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, be able to manage relationships with investees, advisors, funders, and internal stakeholders, and demonstrate a strong understanding of the Colombian commercial and financial markets and regulatory environment.
In addition, they will have fundraising skills, a willingness to fundraise, and experience in building, managing, and motivating teams, especially through periods of change or uncertainty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop significant partnerships with institutions, policymakers, corporations, donors, and business leaders
- Manage the investment portfolio, including direct investments, impact measurement, and the Fellows program
- Expand the portfolio, propose new investments, and ensure screening, diligence, structuring, and deal execution are consistent with Acumen's investment standards
- Directly advise portfolio company CEOs in key business areas, including governance, strategic finance, and social impact measurement
- Ensure portfolio companies accurately track and report social, financial, and operational metrics through our annual review process
- Capture and share lessons and insights from companies with support from our Impact and Marketing teams
- Clarify and share Acumen's voice in Latin America, elevating social impact-first capital and the moral leaders we cultivate

Requirements
- Post-graduate degree in related disciplines (e.g., Engineering, Sales/Marketing, Business Admin) and an MBA
- 15 years of experience in strategy, operations, finance, business development
- Individuals with a background in private equity or venture capital will be preferred
- Understanding of the Colombian commercial and financial markets and regulatory environment is a plus
