The Alliance Bioversity and CIAT is on the lookout for a Senior Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in the AICCRA initiative, representing the Knowledge and Data Sharing team. This position is integral to the management of the AICCRA Data Management Plan and the administration of the primary Management Information System (MARLO). The successful candidate will ensure effective dissemination of results across information repositories and provide support to staff in planning and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management Plan Execution:
Oversee the AICCRA Data Management Plan and manage the MARLO system. Ensure accurate data entry and compliance with reporting timelines by liaising with users. Lead the dissemination of deliverables in the information repository (CGSpace) and advocate for open access and FAIR principles. - Stakeholder Engagement and Product Requirements:
Engage with project stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements for MARLO. Analyze business needs to understand project objectives and collaborate with the UI Designer to develop mockups, user stories, and acceptance criteria. - Project Coordination:
Create and maintain a product backlog in JIRA, managing and documenting epics. Develop a clear project roadmap and conduct daily meetings to ensure effective tracking and coordination. - Project Representation:
Participate in Project Committee and Core Team meetings, representing the Knowledge and Data Sharing unit. Prepare materials for discussions and support the AICCRA team in producing various communication documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or related fields.
- Advanced proficiency in English, both oral and written.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in business analysis or systems analysis, with a focus on functional aspects.
- Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, JPD, Notion, and Miro.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience in creating user stories and mockups.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for stakeholder engagement.

- Ability to foster relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
