About the Position

The Partnerships and Communications department of the Alliance Bioversity-CIAT is seeking a skilled Analyst to support private sector engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Senior Partnerships Manager in private sector partner profiling, data and trends analysis, and outreach events or activities. This will involve having an up-to-date understanding of the private sector landscape in the agricultural research space and being at the forefront of private sector engagement.

The position will be based in the operations center of the Americas, located in the Campus of Palmira, Colombia. The Analyst will facilitate private sector engagement through organizing outreach campaign activities to inform new industry players, contributing to the expansion of Alliance's partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Partnerships Manager in private sector partner profiling and data collection for impact-driven private sector organizations.
  • Collect and organize documents on private sector intelligence to offer a comprehensive understanding of the broader private sector environment in alignment with the Alliance's strategy for partnerships.
  • Provide support with administrative matters, preparing PPT presentations, events, and data analyses on private sector engagement trends and issues.
  • Contribute to maintaining a database of information related to ongoing partnerships and potential partners.
  • Support private sector engagement due diligence by monitoring existing partnerships and engaging with partners to identify new avenues for collaboration and engagement with scientists.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Business, International Relations, International Development, or a relevant field.
  • 1 year of experience in similar positions.
  • Advanced or intermediate English level (oral and written).
  • Interest and/or knowledge of the private sector, particularly focused on the agricultural sector, is highly valued.

Benefits

This is a national recruited position placed at a BG06 level, on a scale of 14 levels, with level 14 being the highest. The position is a Colombian national search and will be managed through a fixed-term contract of one (1) year period, subject to a probation period according to the local legislation and is renewable depending on performance and availability of resources.
