Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Functional Associate to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute test plans to ensure the quality of our software applications and systems.
  • Identify and report defects and issues to the development team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality is integrated into all aspects of the software development life cycle.
  • Develop and maintain test cases and test scripts to ensure that our software applications and systems meet the required quality standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members on quality assurance processes and procedures.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with writing simple or complex SQL queries for data validation.
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish and a demonstrated ability to resolve escalated issues effectively.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
