Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Expert to join our Identity Management team at Scotiabank. This is an exciting opportunity to work on strategic projects and contribute to the development of our security controls.

About the Role

The IAM Engineer will be responsible for handling the practical requirements analysis, providing integration solutions, development, implementation, and support for Web Access Management systems. This role involves working with a development team to handle the whole project cycle and deliver quality technical solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Work with a development team to handle the whole project cycle and deliver quality technical solutions.
  • Design, code, test, implement, and support applications software that is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Learn Security technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in an on-call pager rotation to provide after-hours maintenance support.
  • Initiate proactive communication with internal/external teams.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be incorporated into day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
  • Contribute to a high-performance environment and an inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Must have:
    • Strong experience in DevOps (Jira, Git, Bitbucket) tools.
    • Strong experience in Java, Cloud, and Web development.
    • Knowledge of security protocols such as SAML 2.0, Auth 2.0, LDAP, and MFA.
    • Working knowledge and understanding of Linux and Tomcat.
    • B2 level of English.
  • Preferable:
    • Working knowledge and understanding of cryptography and certificate management.
    • Knowledge of Identity management products and technologies.
    • Knowledge of system monitoring such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
Location

This role can be based in Bogotá or worked remotely from home.

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
