About the Role:
We seek an experienced Strategic Communications Manager - Patient Advocacy to lead our integrated 360 communication and patient advocacy initiatives. You will develop and implement comprehensive external communication and patient advocacy strategies, enhancing our key priorities. Your responsibilities include overseeing disease awareness campaigns, managing internal communication plans, and acting as a strategic business partner. You will also manage agencies and other external vendors, ensuring maximum return on investment and operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive external communication and patient advocacy strategies to enhance key priorities.
- Oversee disease awareness campaigns and coordinate with marketing, medical, and public affairs teams to ensure synergic alignment with overall business strategies and objectives.
- Manage internal communication plans and associate engagement strategies in partnership with the People & Organization team.
- Act as a strategic business partner, bringing a predictive and enterprise mindset, data-driven approach, KPIs, and performance tracking to drive business impact.
- Manage agencies and other external vendors to secure maximum return on investment, impact measurement, operational excellence, and business impact.
- Manage day-to-day strategic and operational business matters, including budget and resource allocation tracking; follow-up to third-party agreements; create and implement local communication governance and report transfer of value expenses according to timelines.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 7 years of strategic and operational experience in communications and advocacy within the pharmaceutical industry. You should hold a Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or public relations, with advanced degree preferred. Negotiation skills, budget execution knowledge, excellent verbal and written communication skills (in Spanish and English), and ability to work independently and with peers across functional areas are essential. Fluency in Spanish is required.
