Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our team and play a critical role in developing a custom Kafka connector to support the high volume of data generated by an IoT platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a custom Kafka connector in Java to handle high-volume data streams from our IoT platform.
  • Ensure efficient and reliable data ingestion into Kafka.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and DevOps teams to integrate the Kafka connector with existing data infrastructure.
  • Optimize the connector for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Implement robust error handling and data validation mechanisms.
  • Document the design, implementation, and usage of the Kafka connector.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion and processing.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in Kafka, IoT, and data processing technologies.
Requirements:
  • Excellent English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Java development.
  • Proven strong experience with Apache Kafka, including custom connector development (especially HTTP sink connectors), and monitoring the overall solution performance.
  • Strong understanding of IoT platforms and the data they generate.
  • Proficiency in handling high-volume, real-time data streams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
