Currently, we are seeking a **Senior Java Developer** to join our team. Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for:
**Position Title**:Senior Java Developer
**Location**:Hybrid - Medellin, Colombia
**What you will be doing**:
- Extensive experience promoting and working with test driven development
- Hands on participation in design, coding, testing, and deploying systems
- Has mentored and encouraged other developers
- Experience with various back-end micro-services frameworks (Spring, Helidon)
- Experience working with front-end stacks such as Angular and/or React
- Designs systems with an APIs first architectural approach
- Experience working in and promoting a DevOps culture which drives continuous delivery
- Demonstrable experience in promoting and continuous improvement of Agile SCRUM practice
- Demonstrable experience improving existing architectures as business needs and tech stacks evolve
- Experience working effectively with remote and internal development teams
**Required Skills & Experience**:
- Proven hands-on Software Development experience, 10+ years
- Proven experience in Java and Web development technologies, 5+ years
- Profound insight of Java internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, Oracle, SQL and ORM technologies (Hibernate, iBatis)
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and popular JavaScript libraries
- Working knowledge of REST frameworks
- Experience with containers, and cloud operating environments (Azure)
- Experience with cloud native technologies - FaaS, DaaS, Kafka - is a plus
- Experience with Maven, Git and GitHub
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira)
- Experience with Jasper Reports
- Working knowledge of C programming in Unix/Linux environment
**Nice to haves**:
- Experience in Supply Chain Logistics is a plus
- Experience in development of Warehouse Management systems is a plus
- Experience interfacing with autonomous control system is a plus
**Soft Skills**:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively across different time zones
- Good arithmetic, reading, and typing skills
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Be able to see, speak and hear
- Ability to manage stress and productivity guidelines
