We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team as a Corporate Accounting Professional at adidas.

Job Description
  • In this role, you will be responsible for performing month-end closing, corrections, and in-depth analysis to ensure the accuracy of our financial statements.
  • You will also be responsible for managing a team of specialists accountants and ensuring that they meet their goals.
  • An additional responsibility is to monitor systems interfaces, review, and explain variations in different IT systems.
  • We require someone who can manage general ledger account reconciliations within their area of responsibility and analyze discrepancies.
  • This role also involves preparing and updating documentation of accounting and reporting procedures.
  • Furthermore, we need someone who can identify, implement, and/or support process improvements and harmonization with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • You will provide financial expertise to local, regional, and global projects, as required.
  • The position also requires accurate and timely regular reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual), including internal and external audits.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Understanding of complex accounting matters, quick problem-solving skills, and strong collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to deal with ambiguity in an ever-changing environment while maintaining a positive attitude and working collaboratively within the team.
  • Ability to mediate and bring different stakeholders with different objectives to agree on a consensus and drive decision making.
  • Deadline driven, results-oriented, highly responsible, and accountable.
  • Must be extremely proactive, have strong initiative, and be self-motivated. High integrity, ethics, and strong values; excellent organizational skills, detail-orientation, and a high degree of accuracy are all essential.
  • Good problem-solving skills; strong decision-making skills; innovative use of IT tools and new technology; and good time management and priority setting skills required.
  • Must have strong accounting skills.
