Our flagship product, Blackboard, enables online educational experiences on-demand, leveraging cloud-based software development. We're looking for a talented Digital Innovator to join our agile team of developers. As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be responsible for demonstrating expertise in Java and REST APIs, participating in daily stand-ups, design sessions, code reviews, and sprint demos. You will also become an active member of the team, embracing test-driven development and responding to unique challenges of delivering and maintaining cloud-based software.

We require skills and qualifications including 0-2 years of experience designing scalable software, light experience developing single-page JavaScript applications, and knowledge of Object-Oriented design and coding. A quick learner with strong problem-solving and analytical skills is ideal. Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above is essential. Experience with Amazon Web Services and serverless technologies is preferred.

Estimated annual salary: $80,000-$110,000
