As Virtuagym keeps on growing, we are now looking for a new face to complement our team. As** Billing & Collections Specialist **you will be joining our Finance Automation team. Will you join us to create a healthier and happier world?
This is a remote position from Colombia, where you will be working for our global teams. We are a **remote-friendly** company, meaning you can **work from your home whenever you want **and of course at our office in Medellin. It’s up to you Additionally, you can work from **any location you want within the Americas** for up to 4 weeks at a time for a maximum of 12 weeks in a year. This is a full-time position.
**What this role looks like**:
As our Billing & Collections Specialist, you will be optimizing financial operations and ensuring timely payments, playing a crucial role in managing our billing processes, collections, and driving efficiency in financial operations
You are part of a diverse and international Finance team where you manage the financial aspects of a business playing a crucial role in managing the financial transactions of the organization, focusing on the billing process to our clients and ensuring the right timely collection of payments.
**S**ome of your key tasks as a Billing & Collections Specialist**:
- Execute the end-to-end billing process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing
- Act as the primary point of contact for billing-related queries and concerns.
- Follow up on overdue payments and implement collection strategies to recover outstanding balances.
- Communicate with customers regarding payment status and resolve any disputes or concerns they may have.
- Implement and maintain effective collections strategies to minimize outstanding payments.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Operations, and other relevant teams to streamline communication and processes.
- Proactively address and collaborate with other departments about customer inquiries related to billing, fostering positive relationships.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate billing and collections processes for increased efficiency.
**What you will bring to the team**:
- Recently graduated with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
- 6 months to 1+ years of experience in billing and collections, preferably in a tech or SaaS environment.
- Familiarity with billing software. Experience with Billing Platforms, preferably Netsuite and/or Stripe, would be a plus.
- Proven track record in optimizing billing and collections processes.
- Positive energy, adaptability, and a fast learner, thriving in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong analytical and technical skills with a focus on billing and financial operations
- Interested in Finance Automation and excited for the potential of AI in this domain
- Fluent in both Spanish and English **[must have]**; additional languages are advantageous.
