This is an exciting opportunity for a Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our Day Support team within Global Network Operations.

Purpose:

To contribute to the overall success of Global Network Operations by executing individual goals, plans, and initiatives in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

Guarantee that all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Accountabilities:
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Maintain 24x7 network operations with rotational shifts on weekdays, weekends, and bank statutory holidays, monitoring, triaging, and escalating network alerts/events as required.
  • Conduct health checks, provide reporting, and incident communications.
  • Participate in bridge and troubleshooting calls.
  • Collaborate with the help desk to resolve user-related network issues and open tickets with carriers and vendors for network incidents.
  • Respond to 24/7 hotline inquiries and team emails.
  • Implement network changes according to provided Method of Procedure (MOP) and Firewall Port Requests (FPRs).
  • Understand Scotiabank's risk appetite and risk culture to be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Pursue effective and efficient operations of respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, ensuring adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations regarding operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
  • Contribute to a high-performance environment and promote inclusivity in the workplace.
Dimensions:
  • Work within the Day Support Team within Global Network Operations.
  • Provide service to over 3,000 branches and corporate offices globally.
  • Manage more than 20,000 network devices across Canada, Latin America, Caribbean, US, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
  • Handle multiple tasks concurrently and work well under pressure.
Salary:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $100,000, depending on experience.
