Job Summary:

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for database systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of database solutions, including data modeling and database design.
  • Ensure database security and integrity, including data backup and recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our database systems remain current and efficient.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in information technology, including at least 2 years of experience in database development and administration.
  • Current certification in database administration is required.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems, including MySQL and SQL Server.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or equivalent certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • English language ability equivalent to the Foreign Service Institute Level R/2, S/1; Spanish language ability equivalent to the Foreign Service Institute Level R/3, S/3.
