Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated individual with a deep passion for coffee to take on the role of a Green Coffee Development Specialist.
- Establish and nurture relationships with green coffee suppliers, including specialty coffee producers, farmers, and cooperatives in South and Central America.
- Enhance existing partnerships with green coffee providers in the region.
- Engage with coffee suppliers to collect essential traceability information, including coffee specifics, farm details, and visual documentation.
- Conduct comprehensive market research on specialty coffee producers and origins, while also gathering insights on coffee-related events.
- Collaborate with management and sales teams to relay coffee information and farm specifics.
- Support the logistics team in managing transportation and freight communications to ensure timely shipments.
- Prepare and translate marketing materials for external communications with partners.
- Oversee the launch of sales-related communication materials and effectively track information in the CRM for optimization.
- Assist in the creation of offer lists and other commercial documents pertinent to the coffee sourcing process.
- Travel to coffee-producing regions in South and Central America to expand the sourcing network.
- Previous experience or knowledge in specialty coffee is essential.
- Fluency in both spoken and written English and Spanish is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Canva is required.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial setting.
- A willingness to learn and grow within the coffee industry.
- A collaborative mindset with problem-solving skills, demonstrating resourcefulness in creating solutions.
- Access to a laptop or computer with a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
- Must reside in Colombia.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
- A strong sense of curiosity and innovative thinking is advantageous.
- Work in an entrepreneurial environment that fosters ownership and initiative.
