Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Securities and Derivatives Manager to join our team at Citi. As a key member of our Operations - Transaction Services group, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to a team of employees in the processing of securities and derivatives transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Processing: Execute securities transaction processing related to Securities Clearance Settlement and Derivative Operations, ensuring seamless delivery of transactions.
- Team Leadership: Formulate procedures, techniques, and contribute to the development of new techniques that increase team productivity, ensuring the entire team meets or exceeds performance goals.
- Expertise and Escalation: Serve as an analytical and procedural expert, and as the first point of escalation for staff members, management, and internal/external clients.
- Control and Risk Management: Identify control gaps during the settlement cycle and implement appropriate solutions to mitigate any risk or control losses.
- Analysis and Resolution: Analyze data to identify control deficiencies and resolve discovered issues through implementing appropriate procedures.
- Advisory Role: Act as an advisor to new/junior staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience in a securities transactions processing role.
- Licensing/Registration: Required licensing/registration: Series 7, Series 9, Series 10, Series 6.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Bilingual: Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Accountability Knowledge: Demonstrates a strong understanding of accountability principles and practices.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Process Control Management: Experience in managing and improving business processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Treasury Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of treasury products and services.
