Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial operations of EA Colombia, ensuring adherence to closing timelines, which includes generating journal entries for both monthly and annual financial closings.
  • Guarantee that financial accounts comply with both local and international regulations, including tax filings, in collaboration with local advisors.
  • Prepare and present closing reports while enhancing processes in partnership with other support functions within the organization.
  • Assist business units in managing and monitoring their financial activities.
  • Facilitate the implementation, standardization, and enhancement of our financial processes.
  • Strategically plan and manage cash flow to optimize financial performance.
  • Establish and uphold an effective internal control framework.
  • Address and resolve any accounting and financial discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Participate in our global initiative aimed at transforming our Finance Team into a streamlined and Agile organization through project participation or by developing specialized expertise.
  • Ensure accounting and tax compliance for a small-sized entity under both US and Colombian GAAP, with guidance from management and local consultants.

Required Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent in financial accounting.
  • Relevant experience in a controlling role within a multinational corporation.
  • Familiarity with month-end reporting processes and preparation of local statutory financial statements.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
  • Advanced skills in Excel.
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards.
