We're seeking a skilled Development Quality Assurance Manager to share our vision and passion.

The Role

This full-time position involves ensuring high-quality outcomes across all development tasks within your specialization (Webflow, WordPress, or Shopify). You'll mentor developers, develop and refine processes, improve turnaround times, and foster a culture of self-sustainability among the team.

You'll oversee 10-15 developers and conduct at least two QA cycles daily, thoroughly reviewing all development deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards, client requirements, and platform best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  3. Provide detailed feedback to developers, focusing on actionable insights for improvement.
  4. Establish and maintain QA checklists and documentation tailored to the specific platform (Webflow, WP, or Shopify).
  5. Ensure consistent adherence to coding standards, design integrity, and responsive functionality.
  6. Mentorship and Team Development
  7. Act as a mentor for developers, guiding them to improve technical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and efficiency.
  8. Conduct regular 1:1 check-ins with developers to provide feedback, address challenges, and support professional growth.
  9. Develop and deliver training sessions to improve developers' expertise in their respective platforms and ensure they stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  10. Encourage developers to become self-sustainable by teaching troubleshooting skills and decision-making frameworks.
  11. Process Improvement
  12. Develop and refine workflows to improve the quality and efficiency of development tasks.
  13. Identify recurring issues or inefficiencies and propose scalable solutions to prevent them.
  14. Implement systems for tracking QA trends, common issues, and developer performance over time.
  15. Collaborate with the operations and project management teams to streamline communication and task handoffs.
  16. Reporting and Communication
  17. Regularly communicate QA trends, team performance metrics, and actionable insights to leadership.
  18. Provide clear guidance to project managers and clients about quality expectations and improvements.
  19. Document best practices, lessons learned, and evolving guidelines for development tasks.
  20. Leadership and Advocacy
  21. Foster a positive, growth-oriented team culture.
  22. Encourage and support innovation within the team to improve processes and outcomes.
  23. Act as the primary advocate for quality and technical excellence in all development projects.

  1. Quality Metrics: Reduction in errors/bugs reported post-delivery.
  2. Adherence to platform-specific standards and guidelines.
  3. Developer Growth: Improvement in developer self-sufficiency and reduced need for QA interventions over time.
  4. Positive feedback from developers on mentorship and training effectiveness.
  5. Turnaround Time: Decrease in average task completion time without compromising quality.
  6. Process Adherence: Consistent use of documented workflows and QA processes.

Must-Haves:

  1. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the specialized platform (Webflow, WordPress, or Shopify).
  2. Strong understanding of front-end development, responsive design, and web performance optimization.
  3. Leadership Skills: Proven experience mentoring and managing development teams.
  4. Ability to inspire and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  5. Analytical Skills: Sharp attention to detail with a knack for identifying root causes of issues.
  6. Ability to develop and refine QA processes to suit dynamic workflows.
  7. Communication Skills: Excellent ability to provide constructive feedback.

  9. Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to addressing technical and team challenges.
  10. Resourcefulness in identifying training needs and implementing solutions.

Nice-to-Haves:

  1. UI/UX Design Tools: Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  2. JavaScript Frameworks: Experience with frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular for more dynamic, single-page applications.
  3. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience leading or mentoring junior developers.

Estimated Salary Range: $1300-$2000 USD per month, based on location and experience.
