Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Latam Broker Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities in the corporate sector, including commercial, industrial, and service industries. You will also lead the growth and development strategy of corporate businesses of the Property line, managing the placement of new businesses and renewals focused on the Private Sector.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identification of new business opportunities in the corporate sector (commercial, industrial, and services).
  • Perform market reservation and prepare all technical information for subscribers, including reinsurance contract documentation for small, medium, and large accounts.
  • Comprehensively manage placements and negotiations of terms and conditions with reinsurers.
  • Achieve the renewal of the current portfolio.
  • Manage new business opportunities.
  • Preparation of deliverables established within the placement process, such as spreadsheets for determining income, placement slip, and Coverage Notes, etc.

You will work closely with our team to achieve the goals and objectives of the company, and your success will be measured by your ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, as well as your ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience in an insurance or reinsurance broker or in an Insurance Company in the underwriting or claims area, with a minimum of 8 years in the sector.
  • Technical knowledge of Insurance, Reinsurance, and general insurance lines.
  • Studies and/or specialties in Undergraduate degree in administrative, accounting, engineering, or law areas.
  • Upper-intermediate level English language skills.
  • Ability to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Office tools.
