About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Category Manager to join our team at subtel GmbH. As an Assistant Category Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Category Managers in Berlin, Germany.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the ecommerce industry.
  • Product Data Quality: Ensure that product data is accurate, up-to-date, and meets the highest standards of quality.
  • Sales Data Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify areas of improvement, optimize product offerings, and inform business decisions.
  • Inventory Observations: Monitor inventory levels, identify trends, and make recommendations to optimize stock levels.
  • Improvement Ideas: Generate innovative ideas to improve product offerings, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Degree in Business, Science, or a related field: A degree in a relevant field is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in category management, project management, or business development: Proven experience in a related field is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required.
  • Familiarity with Project Management tools (i.e. Asana): Familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
  • Fluency in Advanced English (B2 level at a minimum); multilingualism is an asset: Fluency in Advanced English is required, and multilingualism is an asset.
