Position Overview
As a vital member of the Global Non-IT Procurement team, the Strategic Procurement Manager for Professional Services plays a crucial role in the development, oversight, and implementation of sourcing strategies across key subcategories, including Consulting, Human Resources services, Learning & Development, and Recruitment. The primary objective is to enhance category performance while ensuring stakeholder satisfaction, aligning with Central Procurement's commitment to deliver business value, drive digital transformation, and manage vendor risks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary strategic liaison for internal clients and manage supplier relationships related to procurement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Regional Category Manager and Global Category Manager to formulate and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for the designated subcategories.
- Lead strategic procurement activities, encompassing market research, demand forecasting, formal tendering, offer evaluations, contract negotiations, and contract implementation.
- Gather and articulate business and client requirements during negotiations and contracting processes.
- Draft contracts in partnership with the legal team and other relevant departments as necessary.
- Conduct spend analysis to establish both quantitative and qualitative optimization targets within assigned subcategories and product lines.
- Collaborate with the Regional Non-IT Procurement team and the Global Non-IT Procurement team to develop sourcing and supplier strategies.
- Deliver high-quality procurement outcomes and reporting as part of the Americas Shared Services Organization.
- Maintain a centralized repository for contracts, completed agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), and amendments for assigned subcategories.
- Actively contribute to the automation and digitization of Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes through the global procurement platform.
- Identify and explore new business areas where procurement can add value.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (required).
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (preferred).
- Over 5 years of relevant procurement experience or a proven track record in similar roles.
- Experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives in an international context, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional negotiation teams.
- Strong understanding of BPO and Professional Services subcategories, including consulting, temporary labor, recruitment, and HR services.
- Exceptional project management skills with a history of delivering category and sourcing strategies driven by data.
- Proficient in contract terminology and adept at developing alternative clauses in collaboration with in-house legal teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Capacity to balance regulatory and compliance risks with operational efforts.
- Technical expertise in the supported category strategy, with a comprehensive understanding of how regional and global strategies impact local markets.
