Senior IT Project Manager at SG Tech

SG Tech is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead critical projects related to Application Enhancements, Currency Upgrades, and Dynamic Currency Conversion systems for payment processing with Visa and Mastercard. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and technology, enhancing payment systems used by millions worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in managing medium to large-scale projects, and a proven track record of delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining test plans, ensuring products are defect-free before User Acceptance Testing, and developing, tracking, and managing project budget, project plans, timelines, and scope. They will also be responsible for effectively overseeing project staff, delegating work to appropriate leads, and efficiently communicating to stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress.

The Senior IT Project Manager will be a key member of the SG Tech team, working closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources to define business requirements, prepare and present cost-benefit analyses, and successfully plan, execute, control, and close projects against defined scope and budget.

Requirements:

  • 10 years' experience in project management
  • Proven experience in managing medium to large-scale projects
  • Strong background in project management
  • Experience in managing project staff
  • Experience in managing project budget, project plans, timelines, and scope
  • Experience in defining test plans and ensuring products are defect-free before User Acceptance Testing
  • Experience in preparing and presenting cost-benefit analyses
  • Experience in successfully planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects against defined scope and budget

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field
  • PMP or PMI certification
  • Proven project management experience
  • People management and team building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible/adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
  • Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
  • Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions
