About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Communications Manager to join our team in the Americas region. This role is pivotal in driving employee engagement, aligning internal communications strategies with business goals, and ensuring consistent, transparent, and effective communication across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement a Regional Internal Communications Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that supports business objectives, enhances employee engagement, and reflects our values, in alignment with global internal communications.
  • Support Local Countries: Collaborate with local countries to strengthen their internal communications strategies and activities, ensuring cohesive messaging and support for global and regional communications and organizational initiatives.
  • Measure Effectiveness and Drive Continuous Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications efforts and drive continuous improvement based on data-driven insights.
  • Create Engaging Content: Develop and disseminate engaging content and compelling stories across various channels, including newsletters, emails, intranet, and video, to inform, inspire, and engage our workforce in the Americas.
  • Ensure Clear and Concise Messaging: Ensure all internal communications activities are clear, concise, and aligned with the company's brand and messaging guidelines.
  • Develop and Manage Internal Communication Channels: Develop and manage existing internal communication channels to ensure effective messaging and maximize coverage.
  • Evaluate and Implement New Tools and Technologies: Assess and implement new tools and technologies to improve internal communications in the region.
Employee Engagement
  • Create and Execute Programs and Initiatives: Develop and execute programs and initiatives that foster a positive company culture and enhance employee engagement.
  • Plan and Manage Internal Events: Organize and manage internal events, such as town halls and regional Sika Day activities.
  • Raise Awareness of Talent Priorities and Programs: Partner with HR, Marketing, and Communications to raise awareness of our talent priorities and programs.
  • Work with Regional Functions: Collaborate with regional HR, Marketing, and Communications, as well as Corporate Communications and other corporate functions, to ensure cohesive messaging and support for global and regional communications and organizational initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications or Related Field: Possess a Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a similar field.
  • Experience in Internal Communications: Have at least 5+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related field.
  • Strong Writing and Editing Skills: Demonstrate strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Knowledge of Internal Communications Field: Possess in-depth knowledge of the internal communications field and best practices.
  • Excellent Organization and Planning Skills: Exhibit excellent organization and planning/project management skills, including the ability to design and execute on communication campaigns/initiatives.
  • Ability to Manage Multiple Projects: Proven ability to manage several projects at a time and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-Motivated and Collaborative: Be self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively across various departments.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written English and Spanish communication skills. Portuguese a plus.
  • Ability to Travel: Ability to travel up to 15%.
